Coller EQT co-leads single-asset continuation vehicle to support VDK’s continued growth

London, Thursday 15 October – Coller EQT, one of the world’s leading investors in the secondary market for private assets, today announced that it has co-led a single-asset continuation vehicle that enables EMK Capital to extend its ownership of VDK, one of Europe’s largest technical installation services providers.

The transaction provides existing investors with the option to realise liquidity or retain exposure to VDK through the continuation vehicle, while providing additional capital to support the company’s expansion. VDK is a European technical installation services group comprising more than 150 specialist businesses across electrical and mechanical installations, climate technology, building intelligence and security. The additional capital will support its M&A pipeline and further expansion across Europe.

The transaction builds on Coller EQT’s extensive experience in GP-led secondaries and partnering with sponsors to deliver tailored liquidity and capital solutions.

Martin Fleischer, Partner, Coller EQT, commented: “VDK has built a leading position in the European technical installation services market, combining a successful buy-and-build strategy with exposure to attractive long-term trends including energy efficiency, electrification and building renovation.

We believe this transaction highlights the role the secondaries market can play in providing existing investors with a liquidity option while bringing in new capital to support the next phase of a company’s growth. This is exactly the type of partnership we seek: a high-quality, market-leading platform backed by a sponsor with a proven record of building value. We are proud to partner with EMK on this transaction and to bring Coller EQT’s extensive experience in GP-led secondaries to our partnership with VDK.”

Edmund Lazarus and Mark Joseph, Managing Partners at EMK Capital, said: “As VDK continues to scale across Europe, we are pleased to welcome Coller EQT as a co-lead investor in the VDK Partnership Fund. Partnering with Coller EQT, and other investors, provides the additional capital necessary to accelerate VDK’s continued growth, execute on its extensive M&A pipeline, and extend its market leadership.”
